Then after successful signup with Google Analytics, now you need to create new account which works using Universal Analytics. Just you need to click on the website and then fill up the details as per the form for your WordPress website by adding account name, website url etc.

Then after filling the details you need to click on the “Get tracking ID” . This will generate tracking ID to be implemented in the Universal Analytics tracking code snippet to complete your set up for Google Analytics to WordPress.

Now after generating tracking code, you would be getting screen like above screenshot. You just need to copy this tracking code by selecting from your mouse and by right clicking the selection and copying it. This code is need to be pasted in the Google Analytics plugin as given in the step 3 below.

Step #2 – Add new plugin from Wordpress Panel for Google Analytics

In this step all you need to do is just go to plugins page in the sidebar of your WordPress dashboard. Click on the “Add new plugin” option.

Now you need to search for plugin named “Google Analytics” in the right most corner of your screen.

Step #3 – Activate plugin and Paste the Google Analytics Tracking Code

After installing the plugin, just activate the plugin. Then, you need to go to the Settings in the Sidebar of the WordPress panel and go to the Google Analytics.
